GOLDRUSH Music Festival – (Exclusive) StaG Interview/Live Session + “No Bike Riding, Pigeon Feeding Dogs” Mix

September 9, 2011

Once upon a blue moon I used to help teach Montessori kindergarten.  It was really a blast, especially when we woke up from nap-time #2 to do a little  call and response ditty about Going on a bear hunt“… So earlier this week I had the opportunity to hang out with the L.A./Boulder band StaG (Matt and Will), and as we were tromping up to the natural rock amphitheater wedged in Gregory Canyon (huffing and puffing)… I definitely had that children’s song swirling in my head.  We even walked “over a bridge”, which if I remember correctly – that’s one of the first crucial steps to finding bears in the wilderness.  At any rate, it’s almost autumn here in the beautiful Rockies and bears LOVE the berries that come along with those crisp temperatures and falling leaves.  Unfortunately, if you watch the video above you’ll see that we did not spy any bears, but we definitely gave it our all… StaG even tried to serenade them out of hiding with a gorgeous acoustic rendition of “Morsel’s (For a Task)”… to no abide.  I guess we’ll just have to try again at GOLDRUSH Music Festival (bears like alleys and trash cans too!) when StaG plays ‘The Mine Stage’ at the Hi-Dive on Saturday afternoon… See you there!
